All of our activities and programming are designed to build a sense of community within the large and disparate CF community across mainland BC. Our intent is to bridge the geographical gap that exists between the 23 units we serve. We do this through a monthly newsletter, updating our unit representatives with upcoming local, regional and provincial activities and by providing space on our web site for units to submit their ongoing and special events activities. Recent Events Sears Operation Wish On December 3, 2009 Sears Canada on Robson made available a large banner for the public to draw pictures or sign that would be sent to Canadian Forces members in Afghanistan! Many military members, their families, and the public wrote well-wishes and drew pictures to show their appreciation for our troops who are currently serving this country in Afghanistan. This launch was one of many across Canada which aims to increase the public's awareness of the MFRC and our Canadian Forces members.
